At the Hotel zur Börse, we are implementing various concrete measures to use energy more efficiently, avoid single-use materials, and use select regional products.

The Hotel zur Börse was among the participating businesses in the Hotel and Restaurant Network for Energy Efficiency in the Weserbergland (HGNEW), founded in November 2020.
Under the umbrella of the Weserbergland Climate Protection Agency, the network brought together businesses from the Hameln-Pyrmont and Holzminden districts with experts. The focus was on sharing experiences, expert presentations, and information about opportunities for more efficient energy use.
Participation in this network does not constitute an environmental certification or award for our hotel.
At the Hotel zur Börse, we operate a combined heat and power (CHP) plant manufactured by SenerTec. The plant generates both heat and electricity simultaneously using the combined heat and power principle.
The heat generated is used for the hotel’s heating and hot water supply. A portion of the electricity required by the hotel is also generated by the plant. As a result, a corresponding portion of the required heat and electricity does not need to be purchased from external suppliers.
Actual energy production and the proportion of total consumption depend, among other factors, on the plant’s operating time, capacity utilization, and the hotel’s current heat and electricity demand.
