PIED PIPER HOUSE IN HAMELN

Osterstraße 28 The facade of the Pied Piper House is unique and impressive. In the building you can find a restaurant, where you can see a private collection of artworks. It is considered a secret “Feierabendmuseum” (end of work day museum). The inscription on the house from 1602 reads: ANNO 1284 AM DAGE JOHANNIS ET PAULI WAR DER 26 JUNII DORCH EINEN PIPER MIT ALLERLEI FARVE BEKLEDET WORDEN CXXX KINDER VERLEDET BINNEN HAMELEN GEBON TO CALVARIE BI DEN KOPPEN VERLOREN

PIED PIPER FIGURINE SHOW

Osterstraße 2   Do you already know the legend of the Pied Piper? The wonderful Pied Piper figurine show is a popular carillon on the west gable of the Hochzeitshaus in Osterstraße 2 and it tells this legend in its musical way. Daily at 1.05 PM, 3.35 PM and 5.35 PM.

HAMELN MUSEUM

Osterstraße 8-9 (only 3 minutes walking from Hotel zur Börse Hameln) Here you can learn everything worth knowing about the history of the city of Hameln and its surroundings. The Hameln Museum was completely renovated a few years ago and is now really worth a visit! The focus is, of course, the famous Pied Piper saga.   Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM

JOST RIKE HAUS OSTERSTRASSE

Osterstraße 12 (only 200 m far from Hottel zur Börse)   This house is one of the most important Renaissance buildings in the city. In the tail gable, in a diamond-shaped recess, there is a free-standing, plastic envious head. The entrance is flanked by two bay windows (ground-level bay windows). This house was built by councilman Jost Rike in 1576.  

AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM

Hefehof Hameln Exciting for young and old: the museum of Hameln's automotive history is located on the Hefehof in Hameln and is well worth a visit. Opening hours: Fridays 3 to 6 PM, Saturdays 11 AM to 4 PM    

SHOW GLASS BLOWING HAMELN

Am Pulverturm 1 / Kastanienwall In the Hameln glassblowing workshop, visitors not only learn all there is to know about the history and technology of glassmaking, but are also allowed to blow their own souvenir out of glass. An experience for the whole family.

BOAT TRIPS ON THE WESER

Change your perspective and discover the Weserbergland on water. From Hameln, the ships of the Weser fleet set off on round trips, scheduled tours and exciting day trips such as the castle tours, moor train tours and much more and, of course, always with delicious food on board. It is only one km from the Hotel zur Börse to the pier of the white fleet Hameln.

HIKING IN THE FOREST

Hameln is one of the greenest cities in northern Germany. The slightly hilly landscape of the city forest offers beautiful views and enchanted pathways on very well signposted hiking trails. Equipped with sturdy shoes, a hiking map and food for the day, popular destinations such as the Klütturm, the Heisenküche (restaurant, forest nature trail) and the Süntelturm await for your adventure. The Klütwald is sort of the local mountain of Hameln. It offers a fantastic view of the city.
